Peter is a founding shareholder and has been in public practice since 1968. Peter graduated from the University of Maine in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Peter began his career working in the tax department for Peat Marwick in Portland, Maine. Peter was a partner at Loiselle and Beatham for 16 years prior to forming Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs. Peter is the firm's tax partner and provides estate planning, litigation support and tax and financial planning services. Peter also has worked extensively in the area of subsidized housing since its inception in the early 1970's and provides consulting, tax and financial services for a number of subsidized housing projects. Peter currently serves on the board of directors and as treasurer of the Penobscot Cerebral Palsy Foundation and is past budget director of The United Way. Peter regularly lectures at various civic and business organizations. Peter lives in Brewer with his wife, Mary Ann. He is a member of the Maine Society of CPAs.

Tom is a founding shareholder and has been in public practice since 1980. Tom graduated in 1980 from Husson College with a bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting concentration. Tom passed the CPA examination in 1983 and was a partner in Loiselle and Beatham for 12 years prior to forming Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs. Tom is an assistant managing partner and oversees the firm's personal tax and financial planning services as well as providing estate planning services and business consulting services to a variety of individual and business clients. Tom also manages the firm’s network and provides support for the individual computers, copiers, printers and scanners and a multitude of software programs. Tom lives in Bangor with his wife Kathryn and granddaughter Lily. He is a member of the AICPA, Maine Society of CPAs, Rising Virtue Lodge and Anah Temple Shrine.

Lynn is a founding shareholder and has been in public practice since 1985. Lynn graduated from the University of Maine in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance Concentration. Lynn passed the CPA exam in 1991 and was a senior accountant at Loiselle and Beatham for 12 years prior to forming Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs. Lynn oversees the firms bookkeeping and payroll services and assists in the management of the firm. She has extensive experience in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation. Lynn lives in Glenburn with her husband Dana and their three children. She is a member of the AICPA, Maine Society of CPAs and the Patawa Club where she has served as treasurer and president.

Gemma is a founding shareholder and has been in public practice since 1988. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1982 with a BA in Business Administration. Gemma passed the CPA exam in 1990 and was a senior accountant at Loiselle and Beatham for 9 years prior to forming Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs on November 1, 1997. Gemma assists in the management of the firm. She has extensive experience in individual, corporate and partnership taxation and provides attest services to clients who require it. She specializes in the construction, professional services and wholesale/retail industries as well as general business consulting. Gemma lives in Bangor with her husband, Ken and their two children. She has served on the Bangor Soccer Club Board of Directors, been a Girl Scout troop leader, Sunday school Teacher and is an active participant in her children’s school programs. She is a member of the Maine Society of CPAs, the AICPA and Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.

Mike is a 1993 graduate of New Hampshire College where he earned a B.S. in accounting. After a period of time in private accounting, Mike joined the firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP in Boston in 1997 where he became an audit manager. In 2002, Mike joined Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs as a manager primarily responsible for assisting in overseeing and enhancing the firm’s assurance practice and on January 1, 2004, Mike was promoted to partner. Mike’s extensive experience includes, auditing compliance with federal and state grant requirements, including OMB Circular A-133 and the State of Maine Accounting and Auditing Practices for Community Agencies (MAAP). Mike has primary engagement responsibility for many of the firm’s larger clients. Mike’s client base consists of small to medium sized corporations, partnerships and nonprofit organizations. Mike is a member of the Maine Society of CPAs, the Orono Economic Development Committee, and the Old Town / Orono Rotary. He currently serves as treasurer for the Brewer Economic Development Corporation. Mike resides in Orono with his wife Amy and their children, Noah and Sadie.

Tasha oversees the firm’s construction industry practice, offering financial reporting, tax services and business consulting services. She was awarded the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®) designation in September 2009 demonstrating construction-specific knowledge in the areas of accounting and reporting, income recognition, budgeting and planning, risk management, taxes, human resources, legal issues, information technology and joint ventures. She routinely attends national construction specific conferences. In addition to specializing in construction, Tasha also services closely held business clients in a wide range of industries. Tasha attended the University of Maine at Orono where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration in 1990 and a Masters of Business Administration (“MBA”) in 1992. She is a member of the Certified Financial Management Association (CFMA), serving on the membership committee of the Maine Chapter, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a member of the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tasha lives in Brewer with her husband Bill and their two children, Trevor and Teddi.

He has worked in public practice in the Bangor area since 1992 and received his CPA designation in 1994. Jason joined Beatham, Bernier, Seekins and Colpritt, CPAs in January of 2006 as a manager. Jason’s primary focus at BBSC is in individual and small business taxation and trusts and estates. Jason resides in Holden with his wife Shelley and their two children, Jacob and Isabella.

Donna is a 1991 graduate of Husson College where she earned a B.S. in Public Accounting. Her professional career began in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand in Portland, ME. In 1993 she relocated to Bangor and joined Webber Oil Company’s Corporate Accounting department, where she held the position of Corporate Accounting Manager for the last 12 years of her tenure. Donna joined Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs in September 2008 and is primarily responsible for assisting clients with assurance services. Donna is a member of the Maine Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, Uptown Business & Professional Women, and All Saints Catholic School PTFO. In addition, she currently serves as secretary for the Maine Discovery Museum Board of Directors and is a Girl Scout troop leader. After working at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Memphis for several years, where she became a senior tax associate, she moved to the Bangor area. In 2007, Melissa joined Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs as a senior accountant. Melissa works primarily in the area of corporate, partnership and individual tax returns and also has experience in subsidized housing audits and reviewed financial statements. She is a member of the AICPA and the Maine Society of CPAs. Melissa lives in Brewer with her husband David.

Kyla spent eight years serving on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, during which time she received her B.S. in Business Administration. Sherry graduated from Pierce Business School, Boston, MA.  She has been in public accounting for 38 years specializing in small business and individual tax returns.  Sherry was employed by John Valley CPA from January 1, 2002 prior to joining Beatham Bernier Seekins & Colpritt, CPAs in January 2009.  Sherry resides in Hermon with her husband and two daughters.

Libby joined BBSC, CPAs in October 2004 as administrative assistant. In 2008 she was promoted to Office Manager. She is responsible for the day to day administrative operations of our office including managing our office systems, accounts receivable, processing tax returns and financial statements. Libby returned to work after raising her children in 1995 as administrative assistant at Carpenter Associates in Old Town. Prior to that she worked at the University of Maine in the Payroll and Admissions offices as a clerk typist. Libby has three sons, two grandchildren, and resides in Old Town with her husband Michael.

Alethia Graduated from high school in 1964 and a week later began working for Dorren J Thibodeau, PA. Her duties included typing all income tax and payroll tax returns, filing sales tax returns, general bookkeeping and tax return preparation.

Michael Abbott CPA bought the business in 1974 and Alethia worked with Mike for 28 years. Her duties included the preparation of payroll and sales tax returns, general bookkeeping and write up work and preparation of individual income tax returns. Alethia joined Beatham Bernier Seekins & Colpritt CPAs in 2002. Her duties include the preparation of payroll tax returns, individual income tax returns, QuickBooks assistance and Alethia also manages the firms Document Management System, the electronic filing cabinet used by the firm to store all client files.

Brandy graduated from Eastern Maine Community College in 1996 with an Associate Degree in Business Management.    Brandy gained experience working for a small business and for an accounting firm preparing payroll tax returns and individual income tax returns.   She joined Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt CPAs in August 2001.  Brandy has extensive experience with QuickBooks and is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.  Brandy also prepares individual income tax returns and assists clients with payroll and sales tax returns. She lives in Bucksport with her husband Jon and their two children.

Heather assists with all administrative functions of the firm. She lives in Holden with her husband and their three children.
