John joined the firm in 2009, and became a Principal in 2016. His areas of expertise include tax planning, preparation, and consulting for closely held business clients, as well as individuals and trusts. As a manager for tax engagements, John also reviews corporate returns and provides research and technical support for firm staff. He has worked in public accounting for more than two decades, and from 1999 to 2008, operated his own accounting practice. John holds a BS in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Maine. He enjoys supporting youth activities and organizations. John spends his time with his wife Allison and their three children.
